Stacy Innerst was born in Los Angeles and studied art and history at the University of New Mexico. His work has appeared in media in the U.S. and abroad including: the Boston Globe, Chicago Tribune, Film Roman, MSNBC, New York Times, Washington Times, Philadelphia Inquirer, Dallas Morning News, Cleveland Plain Dealer, Arizona Republic, Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, Industry Standard, Upside, American Lawyer, Reason, Christianity Today, The Kemper Group, IBM, CIO magazine, Live Nation, Mortgage Banking, University of Pittsburgh, Carnegie Mellon, American Airlines, Chronicle of Higher Education, Southern Illinois University Press, Brown University, Syracuse University, PBS, ESPN, McGraw Hill, Harper Collins, Berkeley Press and Houghton Mifflin Harcourt Children’s Book Publishers. His clients have included the NFL, Major League Baseball, ARC Music (UK), Ringling Brothers Circus for which he designed a series of mythological creatures, and the Pittsburgh Steelers for which he painted custom football helmets for Jerome Bettis, Hines Ward and kicker Jeff Reed.
He’s received many awards for his work including recognition from American Illustration, the New York Society of Illustrators, Society of Illustrators Traveling Exhibition (twice), Communication Arts Illustration Annual, Print Regional Design Annual, a Gold Award from the Corporation for Public Broadcasting, An Emmy from the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences, an American Film Festival Video Award, 2 Silver Medals from the Society for News Design and inclusion in Luerzer’s 200 Best Illustrators Worldwide.
